Accessibility statement
Last updated October 8, 2026.
CLNA wants everyone who works with children to be able to use this site, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or voice control. Our partners in US public institutions and in Ontario (under the AODA) are required to meet accessibility standards, and we hold ourselves to the same one.
Standard
clna.us is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we have done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone; focus is visible on every control.
- Color pairs are checked for contrast; text is never placed on gold or on the teal accent.
- Every product image has a text alternative; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Every form field has a visible label; required fields are marked; errors are announced.
- Navigation menus, tabs and accordions use the appropriate roles and states.
- The site works without JavaScript; scripts only add convenience.
- Text can be resized to 200% without loss of content.
- No content flashes, autoplays or moves on its own; motion is reduced for people who ask their system for that.
Known limitations
- The product catalog page is designed for print; its on-screen layout is dense.
- Some product images are the publisher’s cover art and contain text; the product name and summary are always available as text beside them.
